WARM UP

What am I?

Use the food clue cards. (in teachers pack)

Read the clues and ask students to guess the food.

Encourage complete answers and discussion about favourite foods.

Play the song.

  1. Listen once.

  2. Listen and sing together.

  3. Pause and ask comprehension questions.

  4. Encourage students to join in with the target language.

Food Questionnaire

Students choose ten foods and ask classmates:
Do you like ___?
They record answers and compare the most popular foods.

Review:

Ask students to share one food they like and one food they don't like.

Example:

Use real food pictures or flashcards whenever possible. Students respond more naturally when they can see the foods rather than just hear the words.
